I'm looking for a band to join. I just recently quit my old band because they wanted me to cut my hair and stop wearing make up. I play bass and I'm looking for a glam rock band. I write my own material and I can do covers as well. so contact me!

Tell me about it ... most people are going "Alternative" or "Screamo Metal", unfortunately I don't know much people that are into glam in my area.

Fuck,I'm from the worst state possible(South Carolina),There isn't any one who is into glam or would want to start a band with me in my God for saken state. Around here, Every one is into country or emo(or they are too old) I could try to drive to Texas as soon as I get my car fixed. I'm only 16, so I'm not gonna find a band in my area.

Yeah its a bitch to find people who are into our kind of music, I'm trying to think of a way to get out to L.A. for a bit and see if I can find anything, thats the best place in the U.S. for glam rock/metal

<sigh> You know there's something wrong with rock when a ROCK BAND tells you to get a haircut...

Anyway, I'm too old, too, but at least I'm in Atlanta. I'm (finally) slowly doing some recording, but we could use a second guitarist and a drummer.

sure man,I don't really care about the age of my band mates because I was the youngest in my last band becuse my guitar player was 23 and my singer was 30.

I'd love to be in a glam rock band too but am in pretty much the same position as you guys =/

I do currently play in a stoner metal band though and I'm enjoying being in that.

btw I'm a bass player, been playing for about 3 and a hlaf years, play a BC Rich Warlock and live in the South West, UK.

So yeah, any locals on here? :P

Hey by the way Panurge, what instrument do you play? If you don't mind me asking,I'd like to join your band. I'll do what ever you guys ask me to do. I just joined my friends' band but they keep critasizeing my songs so I'm gonna need a back up plan because they want to fire me if I can't write a hit.

    Hmmm...

I play keys, bass, and guitar. I've been playing bass with our band, The Fury, but before things largely fell apart (leaving me and a really good frontman who's classically trained and plays lead guitar), we were discussing using me as a utility player playing keys and second or third guitar, which is what I had in mind for my own project. But what we really need is a drummer. How are you on the drums? And how glam are you willing to get? Understand, that photo you see is actually of me, taken just a couple of months ago.

Oh, and we're not about hits--it's kind of beside the point these days. Not that we wouldn't want one, but I've always been about satisfying my muse first. Some of the music's gonna be pretty proggy and muso and stuff, kinda like the Nelson brothers after hearing lots of Yes! Let me know!

Well I'm a beginer on drums but I know the basics really well. I can write my own material on drums because in my current band I write all the material weither it's on Bass, lead or drums I can write it and play it. I like to write my own songs so all my material is origonal. I tend to be a really good song writer because I took poetry for 2 years. I'm willing to do any thing that involves glam, for example: I allready wear alot of make up and eye liner,I wear lip stick on ocassion and most of my clothes are womens. So therefore I am willing to go as glam as you want me to be. So like I said I'm only a beginer on drums but I'm willing to learn a lot more I'll do any thing it takes to get this gig. So if you're really serious about this then I'm your guy.

I have a kit but the Atlanta thing might be a problem. I don't know. I'll try my best to get there.

    Hmmm...

I might be able to swing a trip to Abbeville in a few weeks as well. We'll see. Understand, both of us on my end have pretty high standards--I might be willing to work with a beginner who's willing to learn, though. What kind of kit do you have? ("Good" is more important than "big", by the way.)

Yamaha, but it's not really mine. I borrowed it from one of my friends because my parents destroyed mine.

Hey by the way I might not be able to do it because the guys in my current band are actually starting to get a long with me and we recorded a demo and we are gonna start sending it to different record companies. Some bullshit company in Nashville says that they might consider listening to it. So I really don't know what to do man.

sure, I'll see what I can do but the demo is on tape. But I could most likely use my video camera and post a video of us on here, but it might take me a while. Once I record it I'll let you know and I would hoe some body likes it. We changed our sound a little bit so now we sound a lot like Great White. The song that We'll probally record would be our own song, wicked hour or our cover of lady redlight.

Well, that was quick... :| Look, just keep your options open--something might work out. Besides, I'd like to keep up with all the Real Glam Doodz I can--Atlanta's amazingly short of 'em for a town this big.

Well thanks dude I mean like I said before, I need to keep a back up plan and you're my back up plan. My band probally won't make it big because we never have the time to practice because every one is allways busy except for me! And another thing is that I'm not that good of a frontman,I mean I have the passion for the music but I'm kinda fucked up. I look like sammi curr from the trick or treat movie exept I have kind of an orange/blonde hair color(if your natural hair color is black never try to dye it blonde!)I sing similar to Jack Russel on ballads but when I'm singing a song that's not a ballad I tend to sound like Blackie Lawless/Vince Neil(yeah it's hard to explain). Our name is kinda cool though, it's Clock Work Demon, I asked her permisson if I could use it.
