Help with networking to find a band.

Hi

I'm wanting to join a decent band glam influenced of course I play bass and am based north of London so can cover London to Northampton.
I know there are bands/people out there, but I need some help with networking, where can I start?

I really haven't a clue mate, but I wish you the very best of luck. Have you tried placing an ad in a music mag?
