Was anyone watching during the New Years holiday? They had some awesome shows on. We watched a BonJovi concert New Years Eve and a Poison concert New Years Day. On a 50" screen in HD, it was the next best thing to being there.

If I actually had DirecTV, I would totally have been watching too! Unfortunately, I am just stuck with increasingly crappy and increasingly pricy cable, and I would love to just switch already, if I could find some alternative to cable internet to use along with.

I think DirecTV has an internet package. I'm not sure though, we have cable internet cause we use cable for Tivo and the phone too. Hopefully this year we'll be able to switch everything over to just DirecTV. The picture is so much better than the cable picture.

I do not have this anymore either but our local digital cable has something similar. So far I have only seen jazz though so if they had this it would be cool.

- BachFan4EverI think DirectTV does have some kind of internet package, but I have heard from many sources that Satellite internet is nowhere near as stable as Cable internet, but things could have improved somewhat.

Yeah I'm sure there's a tv package to get the concerts on HD. I have seen quite a few good things in Direct TV like stand up comedy and concerts.
