Sadly, one of the hottest, and possibly most famous classic pin-up model, Bettie Page, passed away last Thursday, on December 11, 2008. She died at 85 years old.

Amen, RIP Bettie Page. She really pushed things along in the swinging 50's.

Edit : Just noticed, she's posing on a bumper car track. Guess I just couldn't see past the ass

Wow. It's amazing, you never think anything else about hot women. They are just beautiful women in posters and in our minds. They too are human. Rest in peace Bettie.

I can not believe that I did not hear about this sooner! Right now I am on a winamp kick and for some reason Googoo Dolls (which I hardly listen to ever) has the song Let love in is playing......and I came across this post.

Very sad indeed, BP was "the shit" before "the shit" was "the shit".......thats the craziest way I think I have ever described a person before too.

BP is the reason there are pinups! <3 BP

That fucking sucks. She was the girl of my dreams, the pin up, burlesque, rockabilly queen. I remember when I was a teenager greaser I looked for a chick like her. She was a standard, a goddess. RIP.

Y'know what, for months I've been trying to figure out who I should dress up as for the year 11 semi-formal next year, and now I've decided. I'll go as Bettie Page as a tribute to her legacy.

    R.I.P, Bettie.

Look at that body! She was gorgeous. I had not heard she passed away. How did she die? She was certainly a beautiful person.

She supposedly had pneumonia and suffered a heart attack. She was hospitalized and fell in a coma. Her family eventually discontinued life support and she died on 18:41 as stated by Wikipedia.

All hail the grease glam queen :!: :!: :!:

She really was beautiful in her day wasn't she? In some of her poses, her facial expression reminds me Liv Tyler. Maybe Liv could play her if they ever do a movie of her life.
