I am carnivore. I am sorry, I might be addicted and have clogged arteries but I love it too much. I also am a smoker and I know I need to stop. I am a hedonist who wrecks his health but both my great grandparents ate meat and smoked cigarettes since they were in the cradle both sets lived until their late 90's and one great granfather until 101 and he smoked until the day he died. That being said I extremely admire all of you who chose and stick to this diet, I don't begrudge you at all, I think its great that you do this for whatever reason political or health, no matter what you vegans and vegetarians rock! You don't hear that much from carnivores but I am no ordinary carnivore! I'll probably be eating, dead, rotten flesh until the day I die which in your guys estimation might be soon but my grandpa is almost 90 and he is on the cigar and red meat diet with a clean bill of health. Again I love and admire all of you!

    Thanks [:
I smoke also, I actually started smoking at a VERY young age.
Before I became a vegetarian, it's harder to give up smoking than it is giving up meat.

Yeah I know. For me they would be both hard to quit because I have tried one, meat and it didn't work, I just got sick. Cigs I am cutting down on and want to stop. Most people who follow the diet above in my other comment croak early, its true. But I am the fortunate miniority who probably has those elixir of life genes in his body and could probably drink poison (not the band guys though I wonder how they would taste? Sorry I couldn't resist) and survive. Most of my family is long lived but that is only a small amount compared to the population at large. One thing I want to do is stop smoking, with these genes maybe I'll live until I am 130!

    Let's hope you live until 130 ^-^
Becoming a vegetarian was probably one of the easiest things I've done.
My family has never accepted me being a vegetarian.
Always trying to get me to eat meat again and shit.As if it's hurting them that I don't eat meat or something. They don't live and let live, they live and criticize those who don't live like them.
My older cousin acts like it's a huge crime, me being vegetarian.
Everytime I see her she's always telling me how stupid I am, or how weird I am for being one.She just does these things when it comes to me not eating meat that piss me off, if she was just someone on the street and not my cousin I would kick her ass...lol.

You know what I say? Screw them all! Live and let live is right. Nobody should give you crap for eating the way you want to. I don't see why its such a big deal to other people what you put in your stomach, its as if your attempting to murder them or ruin their lives. It means their insecure about their own eating habits. Me I could give two shits what people do, put, smoke, or drink in their bodies just as long as it doesn't hurt anybody else physically. Nobody is entitled to not be offended, emotionally wounded or mentally wounded by someone's life style choice or what they put in their bodies, I just draw the line when one seeks to physically hurt or restrain another person. Keep on eating the way you do, and fuck them if they don't like it.

Damn I must have missed this thread. I'm vegetarian as well. I have been for about 6 months now. I first started so I could loos alot of weight(I was nearly 300 lbs!) I have now made it down to 175 but I'm still trying to make it down to 140. I only eat vegatarian and I work out every day. It drives my girlfriend crazy because I don't eat meat or fried foods but I'm starting to really like vegetarian foods though.

Vegetarian burgers and such are extremely expensive for my family's income.
I've been a vegetarian for quite a few years now, but I barley eat any of the vegetarian 'meats'
    because of the price.
Occasionally I'll be able to get some of the vegetarian 'chicken' nuggets, and corn dogs [which are delicious].
Vegetarian food is deff. good though ^-^
    Glad to know you're a vegetarian [:

Btw, do you get picked on by people for being a vegetarian?
Friends, family, or kids at school?

I get picked on by my girlfriend alot because of it but it's okay. I happen to love her and respect her and I know she is just playing around with me, so I really don't get mad about it. It's really hard being this way because my entire family eats meat and very very unhealthy foods, so I basically cook for myself most of the time. The price of vegetarian meat is no problem because I get it with my food stamps. Kids at school give me alot of hell because I never eat lunch because they allways cook meat and they deep fry every thing! I became a vegetarian because my doctor said because of my weight I would eventually die because I was so big. I was to big for my height because I'm only 5ft, 4in tall. I very happy with my size now but I still want to be skiny and in about three or four months I will be. I love vegetarian meals and I will never go back to my old eating habits agian.

I cook for myself most of the time too.
I never dealt with shit when I went to regular school, usually just ate a salad.
I struggle with my weight constantly, and my mom adds onto the pressure of me wanting to lose weight.
Sometimes I'm skinny, then I can eat a can of soup and gain 5 pounds.
Everyone tells me I'm skinny, but then my mom constantly calls me fat because she's tiny..like anorexic skinny, so she constantly shoves the fact that she's skinnier than me in my face.
I didn't become a vegetarian for wanting to lose weight though, just my love for animals did it for me.Weight loss is something I struggle with.
    Glad you became one though!

thanks, oh and by the way you look great. You look skiny and don't worry about what your mom says, I think you look really good. But don't take that the wrong way, I ain't flirting with you. So don't get mad about what I said.

I'm not vegan so I eat bean and cheese burritos sometimes, because they're cheap.
And I lived off of vegetarian ramen noodles most of last year.
This year, I've grown to love tomato soup [:
Or whatever side dish my mom makes for supper without meat I'll eat.
And vegetarian tv dinner things like, pasta and such.

Yeah the pasta shit is pretty good but I can't eat it because I gain way to much weight when I eat that stuff. I eat cereal or cheese toast mostly for break fast. I'll basically wach food net work and copy down recipes for stuff that doesn't have meat in it.

Sometimes my mom will make me a separate bowl of baked spaghetti or something that doesn't have meat.
I'm not good at staying away from fatty foods, which is why I work out :P lol.
I love honey nut cherrios, and coca pebbles and whatnot for breakfast..
    And anything meatless and cheesy.
My favorite meatless food is pirogies, those things are DELICIOUS!

Hopefully you don't weigh yourself everyday.
They said if you're wanting to lose weight to NEVER weigh yourself everyday.
I'm in need of weight losing advice myself.
I dance almost everyday, and work out.Sometimes I do alittle kickboxing.

I weigh my self every morning,it's a habbit. Dancing is great exercise MissBach and Kickboxing defidently is. I can never figure out how to dance but I get up at 5:00 every morning and I jog to my old school and back. I go back to school tomorrow and I'm gonna have to get up at the same time and jog to my old school so I can get on the bus to my new school. I also usally walk dureing the day for 5 hours all together. I 'm allways on a diet and I never drink soda only water and I'll go to the rodeo with my girlfriend, doing the rodeo thing is pretty good exercise but it hurts like hell when I get thrown off.

I try to only weigh myself once or twice a week.Since you're going back to school P.E. should help you lose some weight.Back when I went to regular school that's what helped me stay skinny, wasn't any fat on me.Then I started homeschooling, which then I ended up gaining alot because I don't get out much anymore.

Yeah, I'm a Rock'n'Roller and I'm vegetarian! It kicks ass. You can still rock and not eat meat. You may even rock harder, because your mind is clearer.
