When I'm feeling bad, sad or frustrated, I can always listen to Bohemian Rhapsody and feel better. It's not my favorite, but something about it hearing it always improves my mood.

Do you have a song or album like that. One that always makes you feel better?

Roxy Music. It reminds me of being with my friends and working on our Mustangs and Camaroes in the garage. Of course Queen would work also. Those were the days. Now the cars we worked on are being sold for over $100,000. sigh.

I don't have one particular album. I have a lot of Aerosmith and I usually crank Aerosmith until the walls shake. That blows away any bad mood I might have been in.

Early Van Halen records always cheer me up, with the energetic sing-along choruses, and Eddie's guitar playing at it's prime!

Too bad it started heading downhill after Hagar took over.

When I need to unwind I usually crank up Skid Row, or Motley Crue, Guns N Roses, or sometimes alittle Metalica in the car. Usually at the house though I play somewhat softer stuff so the neighbors don't bitch. In the car though I don't care what others around me think!

I dont think I have one album that sums it up, most of the time I flip through many artists from that time. Queen, Journey, Whitesnake. Sometimes it depends my mood, othertimes it is random.

LOL, funny you mention Journey. My wife is a Journey junkie....she thinks its the answer to feeling better no matter what kind of mood she is in. I love to sit back and watch her sing along to Steve Perry :)

So many good ones to choose from. I don't know why, but the first one that came to mind when I read the question was Queen's News of the World.

Definitely I would pull out News Of The World. That's a great album!
And I like to make a valiant (but feeble) attempt at singing Journey in the shower.

If I had to pick one album it'd probably be Kimono My House.

Boston...anything they have done has always been feel good band of mine. I'd also have to say Tesla...there is hardly anything they have done that I didn't like....except for Bust A Nut, I guess.

Cinderella because just the mention of Toms name can make me smile. But theres other songs that make me happy too. It depends on what mood I'm in. But uh, Shelter Me, that always helps. and this one demo.... of which I wont mention lyrics.....Still Climbing album is fucking amazing!!! its really heavy, but it has its slow songs. Hard to Find the Words is amazing!! all the songs are!! hey look, I'm rambling about cinderella once again! what a surprise.... :D

but I always like a mix of everybody. I love Bon Jovi's Crossroad. Nice mix of stuff.

I love Cinderella too. I didn't get to see them in the 80's, but I want to see them on their present tour. I really don't know what my favorite Cinderella song would be, but I love Last Mile and Bad Seemstress Blues

You all make great statements about your favorite songs, and you are all right. How great 80's metal is???? Is there anything today that does this to us that our 80's music does?
