What is Glam?

    This is a pretty basic question, but I want to know how everyone defines glam. What's most important: the look, the musical style, the outfits, the attitude, makeup, shock value? I've heard everyone from Bowie to Poison. That's a pretty big spectrum. What do you think? What, in your opinion, IS glam?

    I think glam is a kick-butt band who dresses up in really colorful clothes, wear make-up, have BIG hair [lol] and play heavy music with kinda a pop sound to it. In other words Poison lol :D

    Well i pretty much define it as not only a music but a way of life really. I mean we glamrockers have enough balls to look like women and we still fucking make kick ass songs! I love glam and everything about it but i hate it when people look at the guys in the band and won't even listen to the music because they think they look gay, those kind of people can go fucking die!

    it puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again

    Glam rock/hair metal is a style of music defined mainly by looks (big hair, leather, accesories)
