"Kickstart My Heart" covered by Australian Punk Rock band "Nancy Vandal."

I've got nothing against Punk, but this type of shit really pisses me off. They covered this song as a response to Motley Crue's rendition of "Anarchy in the UK" and was meant to be a joke, as said by members of the band, and I quote:

    "fancysandals (8 months ago)

Settle down boys - it was supposed to be funny - you know, like Motley Crue's version of Anarchy In The UK.

    warm regards

    N.V."

"Kickstart my Heart" was covered in an album entitled "Slippery When Crap," a parody of Bon Jovi's "Slippery When Wet." The full song list are as follows:

    1- The Final Countdown
2- You Give Love A Bad Name
3- Pour Some Sugar On Me
    4- Kickstart My Heart
5- We're Not Going To Take It
    6- Unskinny Bop

So to all of my fellow Glam Rockers... any comments? :? :(

my response for this was (copied and pasted from youtube)

    "starmy93 (6 months ago)

As is everyone on this forum, you are more than welcome to your own opinion of things. However, it does seem that we have developed a huge following of pre-teen children who like to come on here simply to show their shallow minds and scream curses. Maybe when glam folks quit giving other genres unnedded crap, glam will get the respect it deserves. I personally found the video quite funny. Then again, I don't have a problem with wanting to deface other peoples choices in music. -- Mama Bear

look... don't get me wrong. I love punk and Glam Punk all the same as I love glam. I just hate this type of crap. I came to the US less than a year ago. I thought that when I came here nobody discriminated other people for something stupid. Nobody cared about how other people dress, act, or even talk. I was wrong. People say crap about my music I love, the shirts I wear, and everything about me that has anything to do about glam. Even when I was in my own country I was discriminated, especially because most of the population of teenagers are either emo kids or hip-hoppers. I came to this site hoping to get support for the stuff I believe in. It turns out, everybody is all the same. And as I've said, I love punk. Namely Sham 69, The Ramones, Social Distortion, Bad Religion, Dead Kennedys, Sex Pistols, and glam punk such as Hanoi Rocks and New York Dolls.

And after reading this post, you'll probably think "Oh my God! I hurt the little kids feelings!" Well, that's not true. I am simply explaining the reason why I posted this thread. And as for that final remark I posted earlier, I posted that just to show you how mad I was before, since that was 6 months ago. I just hope I didn't offend you guys with my earlier post... Peace :D

No offense taken, I was just giving my own opinion. It is not my desire to criticize anyone. The thing I had always loved about this forum was that people didn't crap on others. People are the same everywhere, the US is nothing special. It is just a fact of life. This forum generally contains people that don't bash on others. Sometimes that isn't the case though. That is what I was trying to say. We have to have an open mind and let others be themselves. We are not trying to pick on you or anyone else. Peace

Actually, didn't the Crue change the words to say "Anarchy for the USA" in the same way Megadeth did?
That would at least constitute a lyrical fuckup, since it completely removes the lyrical context.

How many Americans are worrried about the UDA? How many Americans even know what the UDA is?

But then, where would the Pistols even be without the Dolls and the Spiders?
Steve Jones stole some of their riffs....and some of their instruments(literally).

Crue and all those bands are a lot better than Punk! I think we glam rockers need to start a rebelion because people trashing glam has gone on long enough!

I endured a bit of Glam bashing while in Pryor, OK USA on Sat 7/12/2008. I waz glammed out and so were about 40000 other people who invaded that town. The mother fucker doing it waz working in the VIP tent. By the time my mother (who doesn't listen to anything remotely glam) and I got through with this arse, he stated that he had been completely spanked and scratched out. She gave him her math teacher/mother of 37 yearz look, and I just bared my clawz and meowed at him and gave him a few traditional rock concert finger symbolz. Don't trash my boiz when I'm gettin ready to walk in to see them play. . . . Growling Mama Glam Bear -- He waz a no hair, no style, wanting to be important pain in the arse loozer.

had to be, he obviously didn't have any musical talent. Itz a real shame to, because he would've been accepted by everyone there if he hadn't had the wrong attitude.
