I really love stryper thier lyrics can be a little cheese ball..but i mean honestly soldiers under command is a RIFFIN' CD. the solos and vocals are so freaking RUDE!!!!!!! the other cd's have a few jamz but SOLDIERz is still a record that makes me put the top down and smile!

couple of the dudes jammed w/ cc deville at one point also. ROXX REGIME or something...pretty cool!!!

    STAY HEAVY DUDEZ!!!!!!!!!!!

They are one of the most awesome Glam Metal bands of the 80's!! Massive drums, Killer guitars and brilliant vocals. The songs are powerful and uplifting. It doesn't really matter that the lyrical content is absolute crap!

It's like most Christian music, you just change the word 'Jesus' to 'Baby' and you have yourself a decent song!! :D

They were a very under rated band. Great musicians who never got the credit the deserved.

Stryper is by far my favorite band. Not sure if you know, but Stryper is coming out with a new album in early 09 called Murder By Pride. Everyone thats heard demos of it say its Stryper's best recording to date. So I'm really excited.

I never really cared for Stryper. Must be the witch in me. ;) In any case, they just didn't appeal to me at all for some reason.

I love what I've heard from Stryper. They are a brilliant band.

Stryper was one of the most under rated bands of the 80's. This band played and headlined shows with the Crue and Ratt, then they went fully christian with their lyrics. Took some balls to make that stand, and cost them a bunch of money and airtime. Strypers drums, duel guitars, and vocals were/are AMAZING!!! Saw them on the reunion tour a few years back. They are extremely tight and polished. One of the best metal shows I've seen from the comeback bands. New tour is coming soon, can't wait.

Yeah they are cool to be Christian metal. I think they have balls to combine two things that are usually feuding with each other. My old band and I tried to play To hell with the devil at a little rinky dink Christian concert at my church but we were kicked out because they said that Stryper was the work of the anti Christ. So now I don't go to church any more.

This was the only band I could actually carry in to the open in regards to my mom. My dad shared my musical interests and we had to hide all our stuff from her. She still didn't like them but tolerated them because they were Christian. But you know what these guys were good musicians sure their lyrics were lame and repetitive but you know what? These guys plain rocked and I will admit I liked them!

Thing about this band that made me laugh the most was the fact that they threw out autographed bibles to their fans. Most metal bands are tossing out something gross, like W.A.S.P. with their raw meat or Ozzy with his left over water. Then you get Stryper throwing out bibles. Imagine getting hit on the head with one of those, you would miss the whole concert!

It was a small pocket bible with a Stryper logo on the front.

Was it, I never got to see Stryper live. I like their music but when I first heard about that bible tossing, the first thing I thought of was the incident with Chris Holmes getting hit in the head with rump roast and getting knocked out! I just keep picturing this young fan getting smacked in the face with a bible. Just makes me laugh.

Stryper new album just released yesterday. It is their best since the late 80's....great vocals, dual guitars, and killer drums. They are still so tight. New record is "Murder By Pride". Here they are a week ago after a long lay off...still sound great.
