Back in my college days I remember a band called Ratt. Just out of curiosity I checked the web and sure enough Ratt is still around an touring. Ratt was really big in college and I am not sure why they disappeared. Does anybody know why?

    S-man...take it! LOL
Stanley is the frontman for a '80s hair/glam band called RATT POISON. Might as well ask the expert!!

I'll drink to that. Stanley is indeed the resident expert. Here's a pic of the mighty Ratt in their hairday (LOL hey day).

I saw RATT open for POISON Last month in TOronto, Ontario, CANADA. Pearcy is back with Warren and Blotz. Pearcy still has it!! Was an overall good performance.

Beef, thank you kindly for the heads up. It's good to hear from someone that's been to a show and rated it a good performance. If you listen to the rumors, geesh Pearcy is the only original member and the rest are stand ins....or was that the new Warrant? can't remember.

LOL!! Resident expert!?! Thank you for the kind words, but I think it's just that I never grew up. To me whatever happened in the 90's is irrelevant (well I totally ignored it anyway!!)

Here's a VERY Breif Ratt update, Ratt never really left. The 90's came along and basically they lost their major label contract to grunge(as did most hair bands). After that internal problems, drugs, egos and legal issues saw them go through numerous line up changes. Basically everyone quit and came back at some stage or another. Robbin Crosby died in '02(?)

The 3 members still in Ratt from the 'classic' line up are Steven, Warren & Bobby. John Corabi is in the band in place of Robbin, although in other incarnations of the line up, John has also been the vocalist. Robbi Crane is on bass.

That's just off the top of my head, floks, but I'm sure will have all the answers!

ditto your last response! An older crowd but Die Hards. I am 40 so I was around then and still live 80's Metal to its fullest. Back in the day - Concerts were a lot different! Now - a tamer crowd.

when I used to play the club scene in Toronto 20 years ago 80's Metal was LIVED and LIVED to be part of. I remember playing to full Bars and charging a 10.00 cover with lineups out onto the street. I still Eat, Sleep and Drink the Music from back then!!

Maybe we should all meet and start the "Glamrock" record label...bring back all those glam acts from the old days.
Mick Tucker died in '02 as well. Leukemia got him.
    R.I.P. Mick :(
...and then Brad Delp last year....not glam, but the man had a hell of a set of pipes on him.

I love Ratt. So did Stephen rejoin the band? I heard he was and that was why Jizzy Pearl left. I've seen them with and without Stephen. I got to meet Jizzy and Bobby at different times. I saw Stephen when he was doing a solo tour a few years ago.

Oh I love Ratt, it's probably my most listened to band
It really sucks that some people only know the song Round and Round, don't get me wrong it's a great tune, but they have so many other awesome songs like "You Think You're Tough", and "What You Give Is What You Get"
I haven't even heard all their songs, but I'm hunting down their CDs I don't have.
    RIP Robbin ♥

RattNrollamber I feel the same. I absolutely ♥Ratt. They had great chemistry with the fans, great lyrics and they jsut made you feel good and want to party. I miss those days so much. You should check out robbincrosby.net. It's a great site and I learned sooooo much about him I had no idea. he was supposedly 6ft6, but the sweetest guy ever. Ratt was my first concert, so I guess I'll always have a special place for them in my ♥. I truely miss those times. :( :(

when you listen to a record they are awesome but that was one of the worst concerts I have seen...which is a shame, but pearcy still got it!
