I've seen a lot of posted comments putting down the power ballads here. Don't get me wrong...I fucking love the heavy stuff!! I'll take "Primal Scream" over "Home Sweet Home" any day...But SOME of the power ballads are the strongest material some of the glam bands put out.
How can you love Glam Metal and not love the power ballads?! That's like loving the vagina, but not the breasts!!
The ballads took some of the heavy out of the metal...But like it or not it kept this genre of metal ALIVE(until Firehouse and Mr. Big just made it silly...)!
So don't think of the power ballads as the ugly stepchild. Respect them as much as you do the heavy stuff...
