SIXX:AM is okay. I'm getting tired of them now, I suppose.

I think my sister's going to buy Heroin Diaries - she's more of a fan these days.

I actually think his new music is alright, but I hate to say it...definitely no match for his best in Motley Crue.

I understand that musician's want to try out other things, and I still respect that.

Really, I personally feel that artists should be making themselves happy first and the fans second.

I think it's Diamond Dave...do I get a high five for that or am I wrong?

Long as they have the money, right? Haha.

Love Nikki's new Sixx: A.M. stuff. That cd is great. Not as great as Crue, but they can't really be compared, they're too different. The styles go totally different directions.

Heroin Diaries is totally awesome. I'm reading it for like the fourth time already. It totally deserves all the attention it is getting.

The Sixx AM stuff sounds okay, I guess, but it's nothing on classic Crüe.

The thing I don't get with 'Heroin Diaries'is that if he was fucked up on drugs, how did he focus enough and find the time to enter in his diary everyday during that crazy time of his life?? I mean here's the guy contemplating suicide and then turning around and writing 'Dear diary...'

I'd think because the only actual time he really ever communicated or opened up with someone was when he wrote in his diary. He didn't trust anyone enough with the secrets he could tell to an object that didn't talk back. He was too proud to go to people with his problems, and there was such an amount of "I don't care, leave me alone, I have my own problems" back then with his band and friends that he could really only express himself and sort his emotions out through his diaries, which seemed to him like his only friends. There's even an entry that he talks about going to see Mick to talk about his feelings, but when he gets there Mick already has company so he leaves and... does drugs! Plus, he never left his house, really had nothing else to do. Would kind of be sad if he couldn't even get his diary written in everyday, lol.

speaking from personal experience of some nature...when you feel so low that you have no-one to turn to..or at least feel like you don't...sometimes all you can trust to tell is your diary or in this day and age, your blog...sometimes it takes a while for you to find something meaningful that takes you away from that step off the bridge...even one close friend can do it, someone with a similar interest...and then when you find many people who do....the loneliness disappears...and you find the strength and courage to move on!

Yeah, I can't see any similarities between the Crue and SIXX:AM at all...

The book is great. Very well written, although the Dirt held more of an interest because it covered such a variety of times, thoughts, happenings and opinions. Heroin Diaries is great though! Well, worth the money. Went to a signing that he was doing for it too. Second time I've met him and everytime I do, his presence is just so strong. He is the true "rock star".

The music is great. Different than the Crue and Brides and his other project 58 as well. He never really does anything the same. Brides and Motley were more similar than any of his other projects.

He's amazing... very talented and does deserve all he's accomplished!

I think I can answer the question of how did Nikki Sixx have time to keep journals while having his heroin habit.

Not that I understand heroin.I never tried that or any needle, thank goodness.

But I DID do other chemicals ...and I kept journals since well before high school even.

In my case I was consciously documenting my wild life. And I suspected I might not ultimately be able to trust my memory,I wanted to proove when I did what, for posterity.

I hope he wrote for longer than a year.

I knew of plenty party animals who kept diaries....

Its kewl to be able to look back on it all and to be thankful you did not O.D. to death.

He's kept diaries all of his life, I believe, which would also explain why he could keep them so well even while messed up. He said he found a big stash of diaries dating from like around the debut of Too Fast For Love to the end of his drug days, which is where he found The Heroin Diaries

    Hey all of you.
A big thanks for responding to my question about Nikki writing in his diary. I am now a little more enlightened. I honestly had no idea from my own expreience as I have been totally drug free all my life. The only experience I have had with heavy drug users is that they are total losers and cannot do anything constructive - The last thing they would be able to think about is diary entries!! So I now have a much clearer understanding of it all! :-)

sometimes the only thing that gets you through a fucked up period of your life is a close friend...and i suppose to some people, if you don't have that..a diary could be the next best thing to entrust your secrets to...it creates a sense of relief, and clears your head...well a little bit.

also sat here in my lesson...just thinking about things....i think some of the songs on the album are something you can attribute to your own experiences...not necessarily on the subject of drugs....i mean we all have those days from diets to drugs where we slip up...it's just some people take things much harder and further than others....i don't know... maybe i'm talking absolute twoddle...just tell me to shut up.

You've got that right, CrueHead! Motley needs to pump out some new tunes and take over again! I missed their tour for the Red White and Crue album and I'm going to hate myself for it if they never end up touring again!

ok..a bit of a delayed response from actually finishing reading the book, to typing up what i thought.
on the whole i thought it was great...it was well written, as to the fact that it was personal, in depth and even the sickening bits were good to read about...i did worry a little when i read parts that were slightly evil, and a smile flickered on my face, and also when i realised we have the same policy about making the bed and a similar one about showering....and at the very end i was left wondering, where the dog was as he hadn't been mentioned since the part where he realised he hadn't collected him, and the kennels were gonna drop him off....but yeah, it was good..i enjoy reading autos....must read more...need a 4th, 5th, 6th, etc.

i have a question about Brides Of Destruction...and i thought this would be the best post to put it on:

-is the song Seven Deadly Sins meant to be their take on Sweet's 'No You Don't' or is it just my downloading skills are to fuck? :?
