Man, I love the Dolls. Saw them last year, and despite the passage of time, it was one of the BEST gigs Ive been to. Just rocked.

For you people who doesn't know who the fuck she is, she's the "Teeny Bopper Icon" Miley Cyrus, daughter of Billy Ray CyrusMiley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus can wear whatever she wants, mate, even if she doesn't know who is on her shirt. Get over it.

You weren't, and does anyone here actually know that she isn't a fan of the Dollz? You might be amazed at what people who are "famous" listen to and like. Not defending her, but maybe she iz a glam freak like the rest of us. . . .

Anyway, ya gotta love the Dollz!

Who the fuck is Miley Cyrus, is she popular or something? What said it all was what dorkstarmy93 said, Billy Ray Cyrus' daughter? Achey Breaky's daughter is recording music? Sorry I been out of the loop, I really don't watch TV, I only have targeted programs I watch. I mean I have heard the name and seen the face but I didn't know she was famous. Who knows maybe she really likes them or which is most likely, its just a fashion accessory and she wouldn't know Johnny Thunders from a pack of bubble gum with a POP!

dude, trust me... you're better off not knowing who miley cyrus is. you've probably heard of that hannah montana show, and it's actually pretty funny that some kids actually think it's entertaining, when the show actually sucks.

Back to the new york dolls... I heard about these guys just a few years ago, and it was actually by accident. one of my friends were like "WTF? New York Dolls? What kind of a gay ass name is that? These guys look soo gay." Nobody knew about them because I was in The Philippines and I was the only glam rocker/metalhead there. Nobody knows about glam and any good music for that matter. Then I just got hooked on them...

I have a 5 year old, and rather than "Hannah Montana" aka Miley Cirus, she would much rather listen to the Dolls. Go figure. But to quote my little glitter kid, some guyz just aren't kewl because they don't have long hair or eye liner.

New-York Dolls are an awesome band but seeing Miley Cyrus whit this T-Shirt is something that I dont like. Maybe she like them, but personaly, I think she dont know the new-york dolls and think this T-Shirt is cool.

These times, my favorite dolls song is lonely planet boy.

And I what to know who's your favorite member of the New-York Dolls?

The Dolls are my favorite band. I could go on and on and on and on about how much I love them. The thing that separates the Dolls from the pack IMO is their dedication to real rock-n-roll. You can hear Chuck Berry riffs, girl group sass and drama, doo-wop earnestness, Gary US Bonds pop, Muddy Waters blues, Stones grit and swagger all in this one fantastic band. I love 50s and early 60s rock-n-roll but they didn't quite have the ferocity of the Dolls. And bands that came after the Dolls lacked that connection to the Golden Age- lots of rock, not enough roll.

In short, the Dolls took the best of rock-n-roll that came before them and amplified and sped it up. And of course everyone's favorite Doll is Johnny Thunders- the real king of rock-n-roll!

Lol, I remeber hearing about a conspiracy that in some way, Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers, and cats like that, was ACTUALLY a way of spreading glam to the younger generations.

I have no idea how, like. Maybe they'll grow up and realise how bad it really was and go for something totally the opposite, lol! Or maybe its things like that? Chix wearing a New York Dolls t-shirt, some kid is gonna wanna find out who they are? And bam. Glam Rocker.

    :D

    Personally, I think thats crazy.
    LOL!

Anyway, yeah, New York Dolls =D
They're great!! I dont have any money right now, and when I do get money I blow it on clothes and hair (well, thats not really blowing it), and if things arent going very well, another thing in particular (what? I mean cat food, ofcourse), so I cant get any of their albums. But I'll probably pick up a cassette at some point :D

Always listen to 'em though. Great band!
My guitar teacher says I'm the origional Johnny Thunders sometimes, lol. He introduced them to me, actually, described them as 'The Rolling Stones, but even more drunk.'

    ^_^
