Doesn't it stink that when you get older you just can't get to the far away concerts anymore? I think I would travel, atleast a full day to see Poison. How far would you go if your favorite were back together or still together to see them in concert? Also, (and haven't well been here), can be almost depressing to see the former 'greats' that just don't sound like they used to, sometimes think it's best to just 'remember them then' ya' know?

Never had a big trouble getting to a concert, but the farthest I did travel for a concert was to Indianapolis when I lived in Columbus, Ohio. That show was Faith No More, Metallica and GunsNRoses.

I reckon the older we get the easier it is to get to wherever we want to get to.
Since the KISS reunion in the mid 90's I've never missed a show anywhere in Australia (there have been 5 tours). I did the same for Motley Crue in 2005. Also last year I traveled to LA for the Paul Stanley solo tour. No way could I have possibly planned the logistics or even afforded to do any of this 15 or 20 years ago!!

That's a good point Stanley, guess I can afford it better now of course, but stinkin' life responsibilities seem to get in the way now, seemed easier (for me anyway), when I was basically broke, but responsiblitly free!

I think for Faith No More and Mike P. I would travel anywhere on the coast line I live on, but that really depends what time of year it is too, certain times I am just unable to leave my home state do to work responsibilities. :(

Thinking back to Metallica, I had a chance I think in 2003 to see their welcome home sanitarium when they ran through Phoenix but something came up and I ended up selling my tickets (that btw, is also my favorite Metallica song, ever).

I dont think I like being an adult, sometimes you miss out on too much!!!

I would drive 6 hours max to see a band I really like, but it depends on who it is. The more nostalgic the band, the farther I drive.

Maybe an hour or two. It depends on my money situation. If I don't have the money for gas, I probably won't go.

    Hey Rock of Love,

I'm a bit different, I have now more freedom and less responsibility (to others) than I did back in the day!

Queen and the Sweet were my old glam bands. Queen isn't really Queen anymore and the Sweet is just Andy Scott and his band. I would travel back in time if I could to see them as they were!

Well for me it wouldn't be a matter of how far. It would be a matter of once I was there could I last through the show. It sucks to get older lol. I now have bad back problems and I don't think I could stand through en entire show and I don't know how long I could last sitting in a stadium seat trying to watch a show which wouldn't work anyways...all I'd see are peoples rear ends lol. I'm to run down to go to concerts anymore. I'll wait till they hit DVD and watch the show from my living room!

I guess so. But as I will get older I refuse to feel older...and that's where my music comes in. Music is a poor man's Prozac..not that I am a poor man..haha...or need Prozac. Ever in a bad mood...I put on my headphones and watch YouTube videos.

Almost no good bands play in my area, so traveling is something I have come to expect for good concerts.

Assuming I had the money, I would go anywhere in the world to see my favorite bands!

Totally serious here, if only I weren't so damn poor! :(

Join the club. I always wish I had extra pocket money. I wish I had the money to go to Australia. Right now, living beyond my means is not an option for me.

BUT, if they tour the USA next year. I WILL GO. Nothing will fucking stop me. I will not eat for a month, nor get tattooed and i'll live on the street for all i care. I WILL SEE KISS!

i travelled over 100 miles to see my fave...minus 3 original members as Syndrome has already mentioned...but it was still magical...and i want to see them again...but that doesn't mean that i wouldn't be clinging on to Syndrome as she goes back in time...is there room for one more Syn???...

    //We Know What We Want!!!//

I would travel further too...except i'm totally clueless about most things in this world....i don't even know how to immigrate!

I would follow the original Guns N Roses lineup to the moon. If I couldn't pay for a rocket I'd damn well learn to fly.
