GLAM vs POWERMETAL

Hello,

i just wanted to ask you what you all think about powermetal, some powermetal bands really did some great songs reffering to glam.

i think as an example you should all listen to Edguy.

songs like "fucking with fire" or "Lavatory love machine" could have been on every glamrock album.

tell me what you think, do you have some examples also?

Edguy are awesome, their earlier stuff was more power metal orientated though. If you listen to their most recent stuff it is full of music that even bands like AC/DC, Skid Row (with seb bach) to name a few would be proud of. Check out their Rocket Ride album, also check out the AVANTASIA albums which are musical masterpieces. Power Metal is fantastic to though, all metal is better than the shit you get in the charts.

Love glam and power metal. I have some of Edguy's material and some Avantasia ("Scarecrow"). Alice Cooper does some guest vocals on one track and really turns in a top-notch effort.
