I was looking up some information to try and find anything glam related online, of course there are a ton of things to sift through, but I ran across a site that has a list of current (2000 onward) artists, so I thought I would share. Do you know any of them?

Robin Black and the Intergalactic Rock Stars
Jet Silver & the Saviour Machines
    Vlad Glitz
    Silver Ginger
    Rachel Stamp*
    Blue Period
    Cobra Verde
    Gutter Queens*
Babylon Chat El Glam Rock from Spain
    The Ark
    Balcony Strolling

I have only heard of the two with * marks, but I was told that I need to listen to Jet Silver & the Saviour Machines by a friend, so I am looking for some music of their now. Nothing else to do this Friday night. :)

Can't say I have heard any of them, but you have my attention!

Can you provide me any links for where I could find out some more?

I would really love to hear what these bands sound like.

All I can say is that any new guys are gonna wanna be real good to win me over.

At this point, I'd rather see a good tribute act playing the hits than some original act trying to make a name for themselves :-(

Oh my gosh! I have not heard of a single one of them!!!!!!!! I think I'll check them out, have however, been sorely disappointed in 'new glam' bands in the past! Thanks for the info...I feel sooooooooo old! ha ha

Does anyone of know of modern day glam bands that actually feature guitar solo's on their songs?

Sure, these guys are young but having been on this site for 4 months or something like that, I've come across alot of new glam that I didn't know existed but fuck me, none of play (probably can't play solo's).

That's tragic. Tricky guitar solo's were inherent in 70s & 80s glam. You can't untangle the solo from the rest of the music. It's all intertwined.

Just can't give this new stuff the respect that I have for the original stuff.
