Hey guys so i thought is post a new thread hopefully to prompt a lengthy discussion :) . OK so here's what i'm thinking, it seems there are quite a few glam fans on here from australia, and that includes myself. However, there Isn't much in the way of clubs that play the tunes we love or people that dress this way or however you feel glam should be expressed. Why do you think that is?

I have also wondered why the hell nobody comes to clubs glammed up, even if there is a band who plays the tunes. So I'm very glad someone has spoken up. There may be a few reasons:
-people are too afraid dress different
-there are not many glam fans anyway, for all we know the only AU glam fans are on this forum.
-a lot of glam fans are already 40-50 years and probably don't bother glamming up anymore, just want to enjoy the music.

I myself no longer give a damn about what people think. I'm happy to turn up at a club with teased hair, leather pants, band t-shirt, etc. I enjoy hearing peoples compliments on how I "look very 80's." anyway. Just saying.

Unfortunately bands are going to have more luck in getting gigs if they play the latest crap which is what appeals to majority of peoples today. It's also harder to find gigs now that we have crappy DJ's. DOOF DOOF DOOF!!

Because the majority of people depend on current trends. Also glam isn't presented in a good way/good enough nowadays.

in a perfect world we would have clubs that just play real music like glam and other great rock, not this rap, hip-hop, dubstep garbage!

Hansel is a cool band from my hometown of Newcastle, first glam band i have seen locally
