A drink at a SWEET gig would be GREAT, you come to me, there's more chances of seeing them over here!
EXPENSIVE drink however you look at it?

it's not like England is THAT cheap when it comes to drinking either though...although it is cheaper than a lot of places...unless it's just up here in the danger zone where it's quite expensive.

action would have to be my all time favorite sweet song, because it took all of sweets best elements of their harder rocking side of their music and turned it into a classic rock'n'roll song! big influence on me as a fan and as a musician, and i got to meet them and get their autographs and i got to meet mick tucker before he tragically passed away. r.i.p. needles to say andy scott is acriminally underrated guitarist and his playing shines on this song as well as the rest of the band.

Well done! I never got to meet them, but I wish I had. Steve Priest is a music producer now. I would like to see AS Sweet if they come to the U.S. That would be a blast.

Can't pick a favorite. I love so many of them. "Hellraiser" is really, really good, but I also love "Ballroom Blitz" and "Fox on the Run". And it's like a dream of mine to one day cover "Teenage Rampage". Ugh, I'm undecided here.

"Favorite Sweet song..come on you all have one!"
Unfortunately, my existence contradicts that statement. From what little of them that I've heard - I heard 'Wig Wam Bam' (however the hell you spell it) inside HMV once - I can't say that I like them. :( I'm too naive. Anyway, I wouldn't know where to start :(

hey it's your own fair choice...i started with my mum's CD and moved onto youtube...i highly regard 3 songs; Blockbuster, Wig Wam Bam and Six Teens...because those 3 have helped me through 2 very difficult times...but you never know...someday when this post has like 22911119 posts..you might find a Sweet song you like suddenly and you can always post it then lol....and if not, then don't worry because you have other great tastes in music too.

and don't worry...naivity is soon lost in this forum...i used to be innocent me.

I may try them out some day. Right now I'm focusing on the bands I already listen to - there's already too many new ones. But, some day... :D

ok...before anyone points out the obvious, i know i'm slightly alot slow...and i did know that Crudely Mott was a piss take because of the Kickstart Hell and Raise My Heart Situation..lol...but i only just realised, and yes i have heard Dr. Feelgood before...but i just realised that Dr. Feelgood is the key riff for Crudely Mott...go on, you're all free to laugh at my slowness now...lol.

So, so many bands have looked to SWEET for inspiration and even image. Crue being a prime example, Scorpions did the same thing too but the list becomes endless; Pat Benetar, Krokus, Saxon all used them to some extent. Journey, S.Quo, Wishbone Ash, Cheap Trick, all have played SUPPORT to Sweet so look up some great albums by them like "Desolation Boulevard", "Give us a Wink" and "Off the Record", If you don't like those records then i would except it that you don't like the SWEET!

Also go for a B-Side compilation, there you'll find some of the very, very best Sweet music.

compilations other than greatest hits are hard to come by north of the border...most of that stuff i got online or at record fairs....including the dvd that spends half of it's time looking like WillyWonkaVision...in a million pieces.

If I had to narrow it down, Rebel Rouser and She Gimme Lovin' are probably my faves. Spotlight too.

    Strange combination,
having 2 old Sweet songs and a much more "over produced" number like The Fever of Love also.
Any choice is a good choice,
You all need to locate a copy of "SWEETLIFE" great cd and their most latest offering.

yup...even if you are like me and shake your head, denying what kind of person you are on track 3...Sweetlife is great...i like to shout the chorus of the title song in the middle of the street...so then people get to think, "she's not just wearing fucking loony make-up, she actually is fucking loopy"
