That's a tough question because there are so many great guitar solo's in glam.

If I had to pick one, it would only be my choice for the moment and I retain the right to change my view tomorrow.

For now, I'll take the solo in 'Wait' by White Lion

Any track with Jason Becker in it.

Jason was supposed to be the guitarist in David Lee Roth's band after he left Van Halen but Jason got sick and eventually lost use of the muscles in his body. He is still alive today however machines keep him alive.

Well, they weren't really glam metal, they were thrash metal, but they had long hair, so whatever, I like Testament's solo in the song Practice What You Preach. An amazing solo, and an amazing song.

GLAM METAL...Anything Mr. Mick Mars plays. He is fucking amazing and his solos prove that :D When I hear a Mars solo...I sit back and just think 'wow' (how cheesy do I sound).

HAIR METAL..."Shout It Out" by Shotgun Messiah. Harry Cody (Kody?) is a pretty cool guitarist (I think he's influenced by Mick Mars, actually), shame not many people have heard of him or Shotgunners. I love how, in the video for Shout It Out, Harry walks off the stage before the solo has finished,,,of course, he was miming...but cool.

HARD ROCK of the 80s..."No Mercy" (Off topic: I almost typed Show No Mercy then...but that's a different song entirely, whether or not you take into account the different singers /off topic) by L.A. Guns. You may have noticed that I'm a big Guns (someone else influenced by Mr. Mars) fan (much to my sister's dislike)...so it was hard to pick one song :D

ANYTHING ELSE...Anything Jake E. Lee plays on. God. He also influenced Warren DeMartini - an added bonus.

[I've never written so much about guitar solos in my life haha and it aint that much, really]

Rock is dead. Long live paper and scissors.

Shotgun Messiah are cool. Harry's solo in Don't Care About Nothin' rules

Most hair & glam guys changed their names to preteen sound names (Bobby, Ricky, Tommy etc). Guess Harry had better things to do like play killer guitar solo's.

Thats funny you said that I asked the same question on another forum on sleazeroxx.com and no one really knows what he does know. He made a cover album in 2005 called Retraced I heard. I would love to see Jake E. Lee on the rode cause he is a fav. of mine. I heard when Ratt was getting back together in the summer he and Warren would be on guitar and Jake was actually in Mickey Ratt so he is actually like an original member himself. I hope Jake will resurface somewhere soon cause Ozzy and Badlands kicked ass while he was with them.
