I know we have all had them, so what are some of the best ones you remember? I was once told that all Glam rock was bad, only because of one bad seed. The argument went on for days when I was with this friend, and then he finally realized that one seed doesn't mean the entire crop is bad. It took almost a week to get to that point though.

I get pretty passionate sometimes discussing classic and glam rock.
Seems like arguing sometimes.

I think the only true agruments I ever got into about music were with my parents...Which kind of makes sense....Dad, just couldn't wrap his head around the 'hair' and the music really. Don't think I ever had a date that he didn't comment on the hair...ha ha... but when you grew up on bubble gum, and dew-whap, I think that was expected! lol

One classic argument a lot of us have had is about how Glam bands are not Metal, and that Hair Metal is a misleading name. Hard Rock or Metal, who cares? It rocks hard all the same, and I don't have enough time in my day to argue what a band is or is not considered.

I think anyone can argue when there is alcohol involved, and it doesn't matter what the subject is. Maybe I should have said debates or bickers, that seems to be what happens with me. I have had some with parents, some with peers that do not have my music taste and the random person at the pool place when I put a song on and I hear someone mutter, then I just have to be a jerk and fill them full of history they may not be aware of. I have never fist fought anyone or anything.

I'm not much of an arguer. I have my opinions and everyone else is entitled to theirs too. Even if theirs are usually wrong. I rarely try to change someones opinion. People have to come to the truth in their own time.
But when I was a teenager and living at home, my dad used to comment on some of my albums. He used to ask me, if he threw this or that album across the pond behind our house, how far I thought it would go. My favorite response was the album would go further than his golf bag full of clubs. Good thing he was a good sport.

if i want a cow to be a sheep...it will be...that is how much i don't give up in an argument...but i've never got into an argument as such...but i've got passionate and protective.
My english teacher was asking us about our favourite bands...so i said "the sweet"...his reply was; "are they the ones who did tiger feet?"...i actually told him that he shouldn't have said that...and i had to stop getting hyped up and yelling...so i struggled to say calmly what happened that January of 1974.
and i once got fed up with people i went to school with...it's always like..."oh my god...i can't believe you like an 80s band"....so i yell..."actually...they're 70s...so i'm even more in the bloody past than you think".
and when i was talking to this "julie" at the building society...about my going to Napton to see AS Sweet...but i said The Sweet...because it's easier than explaining...was it heckers like?..."yeah right" she says, "you do know lead singers dead"...who does she think i am...junior fan???...so i turned to her and said; "actually the lead singer AND the drummer are dead...and the bassist lives in LA...so i'm going to see the guitarist's line up"...this is also the same woman who..a few weeks later thought my home-made t-shirt was a bunch of cats...how do 4 men in stage gear look like cats??? you tell me!!!

I think most of the time it happens, its one of two things: Someone doesn't understand the glam style or someone is debating who is glam and who isn't. Those are the most regular arguments/debates/whatever you want to call them I have ran into.

Been in many argumentz and fightz over glam,got told by a black metal fan once that all glam bandz were faggz, so I asked him how he could say that when the dudez on his t-shirt looked like fuckin' pandaz on steroidz ended up just kikkin' the dipshitz ass.

me and older brother argued one day got into a huge debate on weither or not white snake and motley crue was glam....but my persaveriance paid off and he realized he was wrong and admited it.......he dont care much for either one of those bands is why but he now realizes there both as glam as glam can get

The only thing I hear all the time is from a couple of my annoying friends who like to say "Motley Crue sucks" in front of me because they don't like the song "Smokin in the boys room" which is made by the Crue. And another one of my friends with the argument of Glam coming back into mainstream!, but it was a fun argument at least.

I hate arguing over it, on Youtube usually. I get so annoyed when guys are on the Dokken videos complaining about how they think Don Dokken sucks, and Dokken isn't Dokken without Lynch
