They were a fairly big band for a while in the 80's, before breaking up through the late 80's to about the year 2000. Since then, they have released 2 albums. The first album being "Deal With The Devil" and the newest is "Appointment With Death" which was apparently released this year. Unfortunately, I am yet to hear anything past their 80's material. My friends tell me the new stuff is still good though, so i'll have to check it out.

I recall the name. I never got around to buying their albums, however, so I'm not all too familiar with them.

I have never heard of a band named Lizzy Borden. My sister was in a school play of Lizzy Borden had an axe. That's all I know of that name.

I advise you all to check out some of their material, you just may like it.
They were a very good band during the 80's, and i'm sure the new stuff is quality as well.
But for the rest of you, start out with the 80's albums.

I will look them up sometime, probably on Myspace. Hopefully they will have their old songs on there.

Lizzie Borden

Lizzie Andrew Borden (July 19, 1860 – June 1, 1927) was a New England spinster who was the central figure in the hatchet murders of her father and stepmother on August 4, 1892 in Fall River, Massachusetts in the United States. The slayings, subsequent trial, and the following trial by media became a cause célèbre. The fame of the incident has endured in American pop culture and criminology. Although Lizzie Borden was acquitted, she was widely believed to be guilty; no one else was ever arrested or tried, and she has remained notorious in American folklore. Dispute over the identity of the killer or killers continues to this day

And gave her mother forty whacks.
And when she saw what she had done
She gave her father forty-one.LIZZY BORDEN

I think their first couple albums were okay. More on the speed metal side than on glam, IMO. Good band though. I haven't given them a spin in a while.

saw them at Sweden Rock. They were on at 12pm so I made a real effort to see them. They looked great, full makeup, but the songs just weren't there for me. I'd wanted to see them for a while, so it was a big disappointment.
