Look I know some of you metal heads are going to get pissed at me about asking such a question... but as you probably know about the warrior he don't give a good flying fuck! I actually dig Billy Idol whose guitarist Stevie Stevens is a bad ass, I love fucking Devo, those guys are weird and freaking hilarious, Talking Heads write some awesome music and songs, love Oingo Boingo, Stray Cats lay down some pretty cool new Rockabilly, love the pioneers of psychobilly the Cramps, love the Dead Kennedys, the Descendents, Black Flag, shit I could go on forever. The ball is in your court, run with it! Or not you close minded music hipster snobs!

I love alot of the New Wave music, awesome stuff! Cramps is one of my favorite band and their from my neck of the woods in Northern California! Now they live in Los Angeles though.

I messed up on my first post. PhilVio isn't broken up. I was thinking of a heavy metal band called "Wolfgang" who went on hiatus 2002. Also from the Philippines.

Cool stuff! No don't mind political stuff, listen to Rage Against the Machine and the Dead Kennedys, even though I might not agree with everything being said. In reality I am Rockpublican or Rockocrat whatever floats your bag!

All good stuff! I am with you on the thrash stuff IWP, big thrash fan! Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Billy Idol, Police, Animotion, Flock of Seagulls, Kajagoogoo, Devo, Blondie, Talking Heads all that New Wave stuff I grew up with. My dad of course fronted a glam metal band in the 80's and my uncle had a New Wave band going called Future Skies, so I was exposed to all this stuff. Great stuff.

I absolutely LOVE Devo. (Incidentally, I'm wearing my Q: Are We Not Men? shirt right now!) Though I am very disappointed in them for not coming to Brisbane this year. Oh but Sydney's good enough, Melbourne's good enough, Perth's good enough, Adelaide, NO ONE EVEN LIVES THERE! But nooooo they wouldn't come to Brissie. Anyway... I also love The Human League. And Split Enz too.

I'm livin' in the 70s, I feel like I've lost my keys

Oh yeah! Devo is my favorite New Wave band! You have a Are we not men T shirt? Totally awesome! When I was a little kid I was such a fan of them that my dad ordered one of those flower pot energy hats for me. Loved that thing! I had it until it burned in a house fire, that and my whole Devo collection  But I have loved them ever since and I have always wanted to see them live. Human League and Slit Enz are really cool too. I have alot of New Wave vinyl in fact along with all my glam metal vinyl, have alot on CD too.

recently, i've gotten into a lot of crossover thrash and speedmetal bands, and some bands probably nobody's ever heard of.

Stormtroopers of Death (with Anthrax's Scott Ian)
Death Angel (a Filipino-American thrash band from San Fransisco)
    Toxodeath (A Mexican DeathMetal band)
    Ded Engine
    Impaler
    Battleaxe
    Exiter
SLIKNOT (not the numetal band, but a Hardcore Crossover Thrash band from the 80's)
    and some more stuff

Love SOD! Their awesome! Suprisingly I have heard of all those bands you have mentioned. Even Sliknot, at first I thought you said Slipknot and I was like WTF!? But yeah I am surprised you have heard of those bands, most of the bands you listed nobody knows when I talk to them.

damn... that was a typo, and i did say slipknot. here's the band SLIPKNOT @ Encyclopaedia Metallum and, again, it's a Crossover Thrash band, which basically means the Casualties meet Slayer and Anthrax...

Oh sure, I was a big Madonna and Michael Jackson fan. Actually, I would listen to anything, except Country. But, Glam Rock is where my heart lies.

I always loved 80's music in general, and that spans everywhere from Glam, to Heavy Metal, to some Country, to even some 80's Synth Pop, and a little of almost everything else.

I love the 80's. When I saw Queen in concert, Billy Squier opened for them. He was awesome!! Funny story... some stupid chick with the best seats in the house was stupid enough to jump up on stage with him. She chased him all over that stage before security finally got hold of her, and he never missed a beat!!! That's talent. Also love Devo, Aha, Journey, etc. The 80's were definitely the best decade.

The 80's just so happens to be my favorite musical decade, and Glam is only a part of that, abeit a pretty major part ;)

I just think the 80's provided more variety in music than either the 90's or 2000's, especially where it comes to the radio. Back then, it wasn't entirely unusual to hear the Crue sandwhiched in between Depeche Mode and Judas Priest.

Something about Scott Ian sits with me odd, so yes that is one of your list I have heard of lately. :D Pretty much anything with a loud sound I am game for.
