    LOS ANGELES – Michael Jackson, the record-breaking, sensationally gifted "King of Pop" who emerged from childhood superstardom to become the entertainment world's most influential singer and dancer, and the tabloid world's most disturbing celebrity, has died. He was 50.

    A person with knowledge of the situation says Jackson died Thursday in a Los Angeles hospital. The person was not authorized to speak publicly and requested anonymity.

    His death brought a tragic end to a long, bizarre, sometimes farcical decline from his peak in the 1980s, when he was popular music's premier all-around performer, a uniter of black and white music who shattered the race barrier on MTV, dominated the charts and dazzled even more on stage.

    Dude, I found out exactly when he died while flippin through the channels... It's really a sad day not only in america, but the whole world... At first I couldn't believe it, but eventually I've accepted it. Now I've been listenin to my Thriller album the whole day. I would've posted sooner, but I've also been glued on the T.V. for updates :cry:

    Dude that just fucking sucks. I mean shit I know he became a ugly white woman look alike but when I was a little kid in the 80's he was my hero along with Eddie Van Halen, Malmsteem, Sebastian Bach, Joey De Maio, and Vince Neil. In fact the first vinyl my dad bought me was "Thriller", he rolled his eyes saying "I ain't raising you right", because my dad was a glam rocker. Still thats the Michael I want to remember, the Zombie, the Werewolf, and the Smooth Criminal. Pop music wasn't too bad in the 80's compared to now, alot of the bands we like were pop with a metal edge. He will be missed, don't forget Eddie played the blistering guitar solo on the song "Beat It". One of the best vids of all time is "Thriller" I remember as a kid thinking it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen up until that point. RIP the cool 80's Michael Jackson. I will miss him.

    Yeah he was an amazing preformer and he was one of my favorite singers. It's so tragic that he just died out of no where and i will miss the guy as well. i just hate that people gave him so much shit about the pedephile thing i strongly beleive that he wasn't one and he ws just a very nice and genuine man

    it puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again

    Michael Jackson was one of the worlds most gifted musicians and entertainers. Its sad that many people dwell on Jacksons surgeries and his scandals, they miss the best things about him. He worked with so many great musicians, not only Eddie Van Halen, but Steven Stevens worked with Michael on the song Dirty Diana and Slash worked with him on the song Privacy. Michael even work with many top hollywood performers but its seems that all people think about are the negatives. Jackson's music later after the 80's dealt with ever day issues such as race, aids, and the destruction of the rain forest. But nobody thinks about that, instead its better to focus on the negatives cause it makes those people feel better about themselves. Sorry if this has become a bit of a rant, I've just got through reading a bunch of peoples negative opinions and thoughts on Jackson and it hasn't made me too happy. I guess it makes those people feel better dumping on a dead person, guess they never made mistakes and can look in the mirror without a problem.

    Michael was one the greatest musicians and entertainers ever and his music is just so great.
    also dont believe the whole pedophile thing either he was just a big kid and had kids as friends nothing more.

    Here is the vid and song Michael did with Slash. "Give in to Me", two of my childhood idols on one stage. Awesome solo and guitar work by Slash, great performance by Michael on his last good album "Dangerous". Thats just my opinion of course, got watery eyed watching this vid, go ahead and laugh. I am a big pussy! Enjoy!

    Heres the video Michael did with Steve Stevens. You can see Steve in the opening with his big teased out black hair. Its seems kinda funny Michael with his Image and Steve Stevens with his Image working together on stage for this video. It just goes to show that music has no boundries.
