A friend of mine got me a whole load of Bootleggs the other day, and one was a bestof of this band MC5. Some of my friends had told me about them in the past - they're like the protopunky Iggy Pop side of Glam, although they were around before.
They actually started in 1964, and ended in 1972, but they're back together again now. They had a volatile, abrasive and trashy sound to them, and I'm starting to dig the hell out of them.
