Hey does anyone else on here think that this guy is just fucking awsome? I just recently started listening to him alot and some of his shit describes the way i feel and the rest is just fucking cool. I like the fact that most people hate him or are scared of him and that's how i am at school so i got a few things in common with the guy. But does anyone else on here listen to his music?

it puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again

I totally think he's awesome! Eversince I heard him when I was...your age LOL He was the AntiChrist superstar and I LOVED him. He's responsible for my best friend getting "councelling" in highschool when they mistaked his lyrics for a suicide note hahaha Fun times!
I love his music and I have a thing for his voice. I'm planning to see him in July if I can!

yeah i think his songs are great and i have allways had a thing for bands like Alice Cooper and W.A.S.P so my friend told me that i should listen to the song get your gunn and i fell in love with his music ever since

I haven't listened to his music, but I do own his book. It's an average read although he says some very intelligent things in there. He's one of the last great rockstars.

Yep. I agree. He once taught a class on Relgion at one of the major universities as a guest speaker... I tell ya. The man's got an acid tongue. I would not wanna be in a debate with him! But do I wanna hear him sing?? HELL YEAH!

yeah he is a very influential speaker when it comes to anything, unlike most rockers these days he actually knows what he is talking about and he practices what he preaches. And i bought his book recently and it's a great book but the guy has a weird mind

He is amazing...... In the vein of Bowie with Ziggy/Aladdin Sane etc, he's created this persona which challenges peoples' ideas and causes controversy.....And he LOOKS like a star! And god yes, he's a clever man who makes a lot of good points. Like, after Columbine when he was painted as this evil monster who pretty much TOLD kids to go out and shoot their classmates, he said something along the lines of 'maybe your kids listen to me so much because you never listen to them at all'. Good point, Mr M.
'Mechanical Animals' is my favourite of his albums, btw

As everybody, including you Billyacid well may know I could give a good flying fuck what anybody thinks on this forum... That being said I loved Marilyn Manson! Not his most recent, shall I say crap, but everything from "Portrait or an American Family" to "Mechanical Animals", Animals in particular was a glam album! It was my favorite, shit in high school I was into 70's and 80's metal but the one guy who I thought spoke to alot of my anger and angst in high school in the 90's was Marilyn Manson. Sure he is egotistical and maybe a little over dramatic but the best rock stars are, but I was disappointed after animals, thats why I say he was good. He was my hero in high school and I loved the looks on the hipster and Jock asshole faces when I sported the T shirt in the halls. I fucking hate poseur hipsters of whatever stripe, that includes people in our own camp who are major close minded (if it ain't 80's, it don't have big hair or make up then it can take a hike attitude), but everybody has different tastes. Glad you can embrace lots of different music Billyacid shows your open minded!

I loved 2 or 3 of his older albums. But his most recent music is getting more and more weird, a bit like himself. I wish he would go back to doing songs like 'The Beautiful People'

I love him. In recent years he's not been as good as he was - sparking arguments that he should have retired when he said he was going to instead of releasing his last two albums.
Very intelligent guy if you delve deeper into his music and find out a little more what its about.

i have mixed feelings about him. more of a fan of him than his music, but that's just cause i'm not a big fan of industrial and goth. my favorite album is EAT ME DRINK ME. and I KNOW i'll get shit about that, but i don't care. the only reason i love it is cause it's based on my two obsessions in the world: Alice In Wonderland and Lolita [Heart Shaped Glasses...can't get enough of it]. i love his look, but he is kind of awful sometimes. just the things he promotes. but that's just my opinion

I love Marilyn Manson. I've got all of his albums.
But it has to be said I think he's losing his touch now, if he hasn't already lost it. Eat Me Drink me was poor, but I saw him on that albums tour and he blew my mind. The High End of Low was unfortunately worse. I know he's had a lot of things going on in his personal life and that shows through his music. But to be honest, he should take a step back from it and see whether this is how he wants to be remembered. I saw him at Download 2009 and I was bitterly disappointed. He was nothing like the Manson I'd seen at the previous show. He was off his face, misang the lyrics, stormed off stage, came back for an encore nobody wanted and made no effort with the crowd. I was embarassed to call myself a fan. It's very sad because he was once truly great.

I hate Manson and his music

alot of his fans that I ran into in person were assholes as well. This one chick that had a crush on me in summer 2007 was really into manson and she came up to me and said "You would look really hot if you dressed up like Marilyn Manson". I never talked to her again after that.

not a big fan myself.... he does have some ok songs... I thought that Beautiful People and the Fight Song are good... in terms of him as a person, again I don't think his preaching is that great, or at least it dosen't impress me...

I think he is quite arrogant. Dont HATE him tho
