A lot of my glam metal heroes were total bad asses back in the day. Unfortunately, as time & musical tastes moved on, a lot of my heroes made some rather unfortunate career choices to keep those bills paid.

I understand it. But some of these moves made it damn near impossible for me to defend them in a Glam Rock rules debate with haters of the genre.

    Cases in point:

**BRET MICHAELS and his "Rock of Love" series. Successful & kept him in the public eye, yes. But made him a joke as well(is that bandanna just his thing or is it holding his toupee on? Who hasn't heard some crap about that?).

**JANI LANE on "Celebrity Fit Club". The golden-haired front man who actually got to 'swing all night' with the Cherry Pie chick had become an overweight alcoholic who couldn't sing his own songs. I would have respected seeing that played out on a "Behind the Music" rather than "Fit Club".

**DEE SNIDER & TWISTED SISTER'S "Twisted Christmas". Turning their classic anthem "We're Not Gonna Take It" into a heavy metal "Oh Come All Ye Faithful". Tongue-in-cheek, sure, but...COME ON GUYS!!

**TOMMY LEE and his "Goes Back To School" fiasco. This is the project he was BUSY with that almost prevented the MOTLEY CRUE REUNION!! Are you kidding me, Tommy! Mick was fucking near death, dude!

These are the main offenders to me. Sure there was also Vince Neil in "The Surreal Life", Ozzy in "The Osbournes", and Sebastian Bach in "The Gilmore Girls"(yikes!). But they were acting or just being themselves while a camera looked on so they get by in my book.

    How about yours?

    Ozzy Osbourne - "The Osbournes"

I really thought that show was stupid, Rock Of Love is second.

Tommy Lee goes back to school was the dumbest thing I've ever seen. I remember reading about Tommy Lee complaining about Bret Michaels show saying he would never do something like that after Michaels show made it big and his show completely bombed. Tommy Lee is such a tool anymore! I really didn't like the Osbourne show either, that show kind of took a lot of Ozzy's crazyness away and made him look like a goof. when I grew up ozzy was the raging druggy nut bag rockstar that got drunk and did stupid shit like snort ants and lick up nikki sixx's piss. now everyone knows him as the goofy dad who mumbles and yells for his wife when he can't figure anything out.

Anybody else remember that show on VH1 where Sebastian Bach, Scott Ian, Ted Nugent, and some others started a supergroup? I don't think they did anything together once the show ended.

"Supergroup" is actually the reason I put Bach on the list, DelsymAngel. There was one episode I caught where he summons the whole band together to watch "Gilmore Girls". Bach just laughin' his ass off & telling everyone to be quiet whenever they talked! It was fuckin' pathetic.

Bach was actually a bigger tool than that egomaniac Nugent on that show.

Hard to defend anyone who acts like that.

tommy lee goes back to school is so pathetic, its just a sell out opportunity, matched with his attempts of looking like a teenage skater boy, he just ends up looking like a twat.

Oh God, don't fucking get me started on these questionable T.V. Shows. The only one I enjoyed was the VH1 "Supergroup" with Ted Nugent, Sebastian Bach, Scott Ian, Bonham and that guy from Biohazard whose name slips me because he was my least favorite on the show and a big douche bag ass hole. On the positive side I guess it raises the profile of our favorite music in the public eye but I think it pretty much gives us real fans a huge black eye. Seeing Jani on "Celebrity Fit" made me cringe and feel sick. I wanted somebody to fucking shoot me.

Has anyone seen Gene Simmon's "Rock School"?

I couldn't watch the whole series. A couple of episodes was enough to support my conclusion that it was shit TV.

I voted for Jani Lane on Celebrity Fit Club. Seeing him like that is depressing. What is equally depressing is the movie Witchmaster General starring Phil Lewis. The movie is crap!

I saw a commercial for the next Donald Trump "Celebrity Apprentice" show...BRET MICHAELS is going to be sitting in the boardroom(along with Sharon Osbourne)with his ever-present cowboy hat.

As you said in "Unskinny Bop", Bret..."What the hell is going on?"

...Of course I'll tune in to see how he does...I'm so ashamed...

"Celebrity Apprentice" update: Bret Michaels named team captain for the men vs. Cyndi Lauper as women's team captain. Bret & team "Rock Solid"(named by Bret, of course)win the first challenge!

Sebastian Bach losing more weight than Bobby Brown on "Celebrity Fit Club".

I guess if they're gonna be doing this kind of shit we should support 'em...?

Bret Michaels on "Celebrity Apprentice" update: I can't believe he one of the last two men remaining! Wrestler Bill Goldberg was fired last week; now it's just Bret and 'celebrity' chef Curtis Stone(against some strong women).

Bret's definitely a motor-mouth that tends to drive the other men a little nuts sometimes(they roll their eyes & wait for him to stop talking, before rejecting his ideas)... But Michaels has carried several of the challenges that he wasn't even leading!

Get well soon, Bret! I'm still behind ya!
**My early prediction is that it'll come down to Bret Michaels and Sharon Osbourne fighting for the win!
